If you’re looking for the perfect Northwest vacation get-away spot, look no further than the Cle Elum, WA area.  Just 80 miles east of Bellevue, WA lies an area full of spectacular scenery, outdoor activities, terrific weather and world class facilities.

Kids will love the abundance of wide, paved, flat trails; parents will feel reassured at the ease and safety of their little ones on wheels and the absence of cars. The serene and lovely Alpine Lake rents boats, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, and stand-up paddle boards. The lake is also stocked with trout, so your little ones can do some fishing.

The awesome indoor pool at the Suncadia Swim and Fitness Center has two water slides (218 feet and 271 feet in length), a combination lap pool and leisure pool, whirlpool spa area, saunas, and steam rooms. Day use locker rooms with showers, swimsuit spinners, and digital storage lockers make it easy for families to stay for a long stretch.

Looking for more things to do around Suncadia?  Depending on the season, you could keep busy horseback riding, fly-fishing, white-water rafting, rock climbing, snowmobiling, jet skiing on Lake Cle Elum, sleigh rides, cross country skiing or downhill skiing and snowboarding at nearby Snoqualmie Pass.

Now that you’ve been active all day, you’ll need a place to eat and relax.  Suncadia, Cle Elum and Roslyn host many wonderful restaurant choices.   Suncadia restaurants include, The Coal House Cafe at The Lodge offers espresso, beverages, and sundries.  Portals Restaurant inside the lodge, offers guests artisan meals crafted with local inspiration and seasonal ingredients, Fifty 6 Degrees Lounge, is a contemporary lounge located in the Suncadia Lodge, across the street inside the Suncadia Inn is The Stovehouse and just down the road is Swiftwater Cellars Winery.  Inside Swiftwater is the Hoist House at Swiftwater Cellars restaurant and Fireside Lounge.  The Hoist House has an expansive dining room with outdoor patio seating and the Fireside Lounge has an all-day dining menu, happy hour and cocktails.  Nearby Roslyn is home to Washington’s oldest continuously operated bar, The Brick Saloon, established in 1889.  Nearby is the restaurant/bar/book store, Basecamp Books and Bites.  Stop by on Wednesday evenings for Trivia Night or the weekends for live music.  Cross the street you’ll enjoy a great meal at Village Pizza or at the Roslyn Mexican Grill.  Cle Elum is proud of their dining scene with such restaurants as Orchard Restaurantwhich offers fine dining modern cuisine using locally sourced ingredients.  Other nearby restaurants include The Sunset Café, El Caporal Mexican Restaurant and The Cottage Café.
